One credit hour is the equivalent of one contact hour.Other Methods of Obtaining Continuing Education per Biennium. Attendance at a Florida Board of Physical Therapy meeting (this does not apply if the licensee is on the agenda or appears for another purpose). Past Board members serving on a Probable Cause Panel. Passing the Florida Laws and Rules exam within the biennium.
This does not apply if taking the exam due to a disciplinary order of the Board, initial licensure, reactivation or reinstatement. Course Instructors providing continuing education can receive up to six contact hours. Clinical Instructors can receive 1 contact hour for every 160 hours of clinical internship limited to a maximum of 6 contact hours per instructor per biennium.
